The Easter Hotlist 2024

THE EASTER HOT LIST 2024

Hiya!

First of all, where has this year gone?! I can’t believe it’s Easter already. John and I are gearing up to head to NYC this week for a well-deserved little holiday. John's recovered so well from his recent operation, and now we’re ready to put all that behind us and celebrate. We got married in New York, so it has a special place in our hearts, we can’t wait to be back. John’s being very optimistic and has packed his yellow shorts, I’m not sure where he’s planning on wearing them because it’s 14°C!

We’re also going to be shooting some new L.A-Space while we’re there so keep your eyes peeled for that. The first quarter of the year has been amazing for L.A-Space, I’m ever so grateful. I’m still on a high from meeting so many of you at our IWD pop-up event at the start of this month.

We had such positive feedback from our ‘Hotlist’ that we sent out at the start of the year, so it only felt right to send out another one for the Easter period. I’ve included so many of my favourite places to eat, travel destinations, books recommendations, and even a classic trend I’m loving.

Hope you enjoy!

Easter is the perfect time to overindulge, below is a handful of my favourite restaurants and pubs to eat and drink at this Easter Bank Holiday. There’s something for everyone in this list 🖤

Mountain on Bleak Street in Soho, London

Rustic and homely, this place has a cool vibe, and recently achieved 1 Michelin star recognition.

Fenix, Manchester

This authentic Greek restaurant describes themselves as more than a restaurant, Fenix is a luxurious lifestyle destination built around three pillars – fire, rebirth, and renewal.

Six by Nico, multiple locations

With locations all over the UK and Ireland, this unique dining experience offers 6 courses and changes their themed menus throughout the year. Their ‘New York’ menu is available from the 8th of April and they're taking bookings now.

The Withies Inn, Surrey

A traditional 16th century free house with a fairy-tale garden, one of my favourite places to go for a roast dinner.

The Bull, Charlbury

This place has been around since the 1500s and has managed to keep its historical charm. Their pub and dining room are dog friendly and makes for the perfect family day out.

While the weather isn’t ‘weathering’ the way we’d like it to this Easter, it’s the perfect time to head to the cinema, or sit at home and relax in front of the TV with a glass of wine. Here’s Easter film & TV recommendations:

The Iron Claw

Zac Efron is brilliant in this. It’s a true (and very sad) story, definitely worth a trip to the cinema.

Homicide

You know me, I love a good crime documentary. This new 5-part documentary on Netflix is on my list, I might watch it on the plane!

Love is Blind, Season 6

Because everyone is talking about it.

Married at First Sight, Australia

This is reality TV gold. The most recent series is airing now on E4, but I wouldn’t blame you if you sat and binge watched every season ever made.

The Colour Purple, 2023

This iconic film from 1985 has been revived as a musical and produced by Oprah Winfrey. It’s a brilliant watch from start to finish with so many talented actors and actresses. It was also nominated for an Oscar and a Bafta!

I'm still declaring 2024 as the year of travel. Here’s my hit list of places I've been recently, and places I'm going.

The Gritti Palace, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Venice

This is John’s favourite place, I surprised him with a trip here at the end of January.

The Mercer, New York

Love this place, we’re so excited to stay here on our New York City Easter break.

Poseidonion Grand Hotel, Spetses Island, Greece

This is on my list of must visits this year, it’s just so beautiful.

SONGS:

Nothing But Thieves - Overcome

I cannot stop listening to this.

Luke Combs – Dive (Ed Sheeran cover)

We’re in our mainstream and country music crossover era right now.

PODCASTS:

Chloe vs The World – Chloe Burrows

This NSFW chat show style podcast is a guaranteed laugh and a real feel-good listen.

Ctrl Alt Delete – Emma Gannon

A work, wellbeing, and creativity podcast. Insightful conversations with some extremely successful guests from Gillian Anderson to Jacqueline Wilson.

 BOOKS:

Lee Child - ‘The Secret’

The newly anticipated Jack Reacher novel.

DJ Fat Tony - ‘I Don’t Take Requests’

A brilliant deep dive into the man the myth.

Robinne Lee - ‘The Idea of You’

We’re excited for the Anne Hathaway movie of this book out in May.

JT Geissenger - ‘Pen Pal’

A spicy romance with mystery and a superb twist

Looking for what to wear this Easter Bank Holiday?

The classic white shirt, a wardrobe staple. As soon as spring comes around, I find myself just finding new ways to wear an oversized white shirt. I've owned so many over the years, and I never found the 'perfect' one, so I designed it! Our L.A-Space oversized white shirt is one of the most worn items in my wardrobe, and is already packed in my case ready for New York.

I'd love to hear all of your favourite recommendations, and maybe I can share them on our next hotlist! I'm always on my DMs if you want to chat.

Thanks ever so much,

Lorna x
